This fixture was cause of major leak, even though waterproofed with various systems, which couldn't deal with the movements. Hydro-Shield Cold Polyurea System was recommended based on the High Tensile Strength of >2000psi.
The existing waterproofing was removed by scraping. The joint was reinforced with 100% Aluminium Rivets (Star and Blind). The sizeable gaps was filled with a Polyurethane Sealant/Mastic.
An Epoxy Primer was applied to prevent further rusting and also to increase the adhesion.
Hydro-Shield Cold Applied Polyurea was applied to a thickness of 2mm DFT.
Thermo-Shield Cool Roof Coat was applied to protect the Polyurea from UV degradation.
Thermo-Shield Cool Roof Coat reduces Solar Heat Gain, which helps increase the life of the waterproofing system.
